That's exactly the discipline I lacked. Filming and patient loading is how you get six months of uninterrupted progress instead of three months and an injury. Well done.

Important question - how are your joints and recovery feeling? I rushed my progression early on and paid for it. Hoping you've been kinder to yourself than I was.

Film a set from the side now and then. It's the most honest coach you have, and it'll tell you if depth or back position is slipping before an injury does.

Find your form on lighter sets first though. I rushed to add weight to keep up with people and tweaked my lower back. Nail the brace and depth, then load it. The confidence means nothing if you're hurt.

Make sure it is not structural impingement. Keep the volume light initially.

Do plenty of face pulls and band pull-aparts. Imbalances often manifest from weak upper back stabilizers that cant support the heavy barbell path uniformly.
