Re: Two weeks out - the exact peak week checklist my coach gave me

Don't forget the boring logistics in the final week - tan appointment booked, food packed, posing trunks sorted, music ready. First-timers nail the diet and then forget the tan and panic on the morning.

Sleep angle too - training at 8pm on three scoops is probably wrecking your sleep, which makes you more tired, which makes you reach for more stim. It's a loop. Breaking the caffeine helps the sleep helps the energy.

Slow down the setup then. Same breath and brace every single rep. Consistency in the setup is what keeps the back safe rep to rep.

Re: Lower back pumps during deadlifts - is this normal or a warning sign?

Bracing is the other piece. A proper 360 degree brace - big breath into the belly, not just the chest - takes a lot of the strain off the erectors and spreads it. A lot of 'back pumps' are really just a weak or absent brace.

Stretch the calves with your knee straight AND bent. The soleus needs a bent knee stretch.

Re: High Volume vs Low Volume for Hypertrophy

The problem with low volume is that your execution has to be flawlessly brutal. If you miss the mark on intensity on your single working set, you essentially wasted the day.

Exactly. Don’t overthink — carbs fuel the work.

Re: Carb Timing: Pre or Post-Workout?

So timing = advanced strategy. Beginners just need enough carbs overall.

Re: Carb Timing: Pre or Post-Workout?

Pre carbs = performance. Post carbs = recovery. Why not do both?
