Sleep Aids: Recovery Game-Changer?

Post by SteelSpartan »

Using supps to sleep better? Share your stack—melatonin, ZMA, or others.
Do they help your recovery or just knock you out?

Melatonin helps me fall asleep, but I use only 1mg.
Too much and I feel like I got hit by a truck the next morning.

Chamomile + CBD gummies = cozy sleep.
Recovery? Hard to say. But I don’t toss and turn anymore.

I track sleep with my Whoop band.
Deep sleep goes up when I use magnesium + valerian, and down when I train too late 😅

Sleep = recovery. I journal, dim lights, wear blue light glasses.
Supplements help, but my routine is what really changed the game.

Zinc + magnesium + GABA = my stack.
Started during contest prep and stuck with it. Deep sleep improved noticeably.

@EthanBrown same here. GABA helps silence the mental chatter.
I was skeptical, but it’s now a staple.

I rotate teas: chamomile, lemon balm, and lavender.
Also: pink noise app + blackout curtains = dreamland 💫

I take 200mg L-theanine if I train late. Pairs well with ashwagandha.
If I don’t, I stare at the ceiling for hours.

Tried tart cherry juice this week. Mild effect, but I woke up less sore.
Could be placebo—but I’ll take it.
